Candidates running for City Council are Michael L. Prestegard (Seat C), Peter S. Hallgren (Seat F), and Erin N. Catterson (Seat F)
Write-in candidates are eligible for city office if: a) they are a qualified voter within the city limits and b) a resident of the city for a period of not less than one year prior to the date of taking office.
A person is qualified to vote who: a) is a citizen of the United States; b) has passed their 18th birthday; c) has been a resident of the City of Delta Junction for at least 30 days preceding the election; d) has registered to vote 30 days before the election and is not registered in another jurisdiction; and e) is not disqualified under Article V of the State Constitution.
Application for absentee voting can be requested by mail or fax between April 6 and September 25, but ballots cannot be mailed to addresses within the City limits. Ballots must be postmarked by midnight October 6 and received no later than October 16, 2020.
A qualified voter can vote early in person between September 14 and October 5, 2020.
Voters with disabilities who are unable to go to the polling place may vote through a personal representative.
